Dental Implants
Dental implants are a fixed solution to replacing missing teeth. They provide a solid foundation for the attachment of crowns, bridges or overdentures. The finished result is teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth.
What is an implant?
An implant is an artificial tooth root made of biocompatible titanium. The implant is inserted into the jawbone and over time it integrates into the bone by a process called ‘osseointegration’. Once the implant is securely fused to the bone, a tooth crown is then fixed to the implant.
Dental implants can be used to replace single or multiple teeth, or to secure or replace full dentures.
